In the very early 1900’s, some engraved rocks were found in widely separated locations in Texas. The cryptic engravings seemed to go together and point to something.
J. Frank Dobie wrote about them in his classic book, Legends of Texas. More recently Bill Townsley has compiled a great deal of research on the subject, a small sample of which is in the article below.
Lots of people have spent a great deal of time on this mystery, and it is an interesting case. The images have been known for a long time now, but who can interpret what they mean? Could be anyone.
